Young Barnet Foundation (YBF) is committed to growing local activities and opportunities for struggling, vulnerable children and young people in Barnet.
A child’s life is influenced by their home, school and community environments. By working together, we believe that we can create safer, stronger, more connected communities so all our children and young people thrive – and we want your school to be part of that.
In summer term 2022 we launched a new programme where schools are invited to join YBF as a partner. This gives schools access to our extensive network of voluntary, community sector organisations that work with disadvantaged children and young people in the borough.
There is no cost to schools – and many have already benefitted from enriching activities and interventions for their most disadvantaged pupils.
Here are some stats about the project so far:
There is no charge to join us and becoming a Business Partner is open to businesses (for profit organisations) operating in Barnet that wish to support our mission and vision.
We have 42 school partners that have joined Young Barnet Foundation since the beginning of Summer Term 21/22.
In that time we have made 129 connections between a school and our voluntary sector members.
This has resulted in 24 successful connections where a project has been delivered to at least one cohort within a school, sometimes it is delivered to 3 or 4 classes or year groups.
Close to 1000 of Barnet’s disadvantaged children and young people have benefitted from these projects and interventions.
